An Eye for Detail

Stainless Steel and Black Lacquer Poker Table

This 5-foot wide, 30″-tall octagonal table is made of straight-grained Vermont poplar finished with a highly polished black lacquer. The drink holders and chip wells are custom-made from stainless steel. The table shown includes two optional features: (1) a mirror finish on the stainless steel, and (2) a one-piece, welded pedestal.

Amboyna Burl Poker Table and Chair Set

The amboyna burl table pairs with mahogany chairs and seats four. The center photo showcases the herringbone inlay between the black leather bumper and the camel-colored felt playing surface, as well as the ebony accents along the table’s edge. Mark designed custom-made drink holders that, when closed, sit flush against the table. Amboyna burl is one of the most prized veneers in the world and is characterized by fine, chaotic grain and contrasting colors, from dark chocolate and reddish browns to tans.

Texas Hold’em Table with Dining Lid

This table is both a full-size Texas Hold’em table and an exquisite dining table (a separate table top “lid” disassembles into three pieces and can be stored in a padded rolling cart when poker night comes around). Being 114″ long x 54″ wide and 29″ tall, this table comfortably seats 10 players—each with their own pull-out drink holder—plus a dealer. The dining top is bookmatched crotch mahogany with a central ebony and satinwood compass rose surrounded by 16 abalone diamonds. The top of the poker table features mother-of-pearl dots, a detail taken from some of the great Art Deco designers.

Gothic-Style Reversible Poker Table

This poker table is inspired by a 14th century Spanish cathedral and allows for poker on one side and a dining room table on the other. The base is hand-turned from locally harvested Vermont Butternut and features hand-carved decorative elements inspired by the intricate columns of the cathedral. The five-foot-wide dining table top is an eight-sectioned, book-matched circular panel of Turkish, Circassian Walnut burl with a Butternut perimeter and Birdseye Maple medallion in the center.

Hepplewhite Style Chess & Backgammon Table

The mahogany backgammon and chess/checkers table features a maple and ebony compass rose. Diamond-shaped inlays of satinwood and ebony adorn the sides, along with ebony escutcheons and satinwood cuffs. The playing surface is 30″ wide by 45″ long and allows for chess on one side and backgammon on the other.
