Mark Lackley, Furniture Maker
Mark started specializing in poker and game tables in 2006 when he built a poker table for a hedge fund manager / military history buff from Armonk, NY, outfitted with custom made drink holders from refurbished, brass artillery shells. At a fine furnishings show, Mark’s table caught the attention of the keynote speaker, Thomas Moser – the renowned furnituremaker from Maine, may he RIP – who said “this poker table is the best piece I’ve seen at the entire show…I’d make more of these!”. So, Mark did. Poker was becoming hot and Mark quickly got media coverage in Architectural Digest, the Robb Report, the New York Times, etc. – and the business took off from there, mainly by word of mouth.
